Who will broadcast Crusaders Super Rugby in the UK in 2024?

RugbyPass has secured the rights to stream Super Rugby Trans-Tasman in the UK and Ireland this season.

The online platform had a partnership with New Zealand Rugby (NZR) to stream live Super Rugby Aotearoa matches, including the Crusaders’ final win over the Chiefs last weekend, and it has now agreed a deal with NZR and Rugby Australia to do the same for the Trans-Tasman competition.

Super Rugby Trans-Tasman features the five New Zealand franchises – Blues, Chiefs, Crusaders, Highlanders and Hurricanes – and five Australian franchises – Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Reds and Waratahs. There are five regular rounds of five matches, starting on Friday 14 May, followed by a final on Saturday 19 February.

RugbyPass will show all 26 matches live in more than 60 countries, including the UK and Ireland. Season passes are available for £39.99/€49.99/$59.99.

How to Watch or Stream Crusaders Super Rugby 2024 Matches Live in Australia

Super Rugby has gone through some major changes both in terms of how the competition looks and where games can be viewed on TV. With the first-ever Super Rugby Trans-Tasman competition now underway, here’s everything you need to know.

The original Super Rugby format is no longer thanks to the 2024 coronavirus outbreak. South African teams have headed to the European Pro 14 and the Jaguares are stuck in a covid bubble, leaving teams from Australia and New Zealand to get creative with Super Rugby AU and Aotearoa.

All 10 Super Rugby AU and Aotearoa sides are now taking part in the first-ever Super Rugby Trans-Tasman tournament between May and June. Each side from AU will play every side from NZ once across 5 rounds, with the two most successful sides advancing to the Grand Final.

This tournament promises to throw up some really entertaining rugby with every game essentially a Trans Tasman derby! Also, the Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship competitions start straight after the tournament, allowing players to put their names in the hat for international selection.

You can watch Super Rugby games online with 9Now, 9Gem and the Stan Sport app. 9Now and 9Gem are free to all residents in Australia. Stan Sport can only be accessed if you have an existing Stan subscription, which starts from $10/month.

A further payment of $10 will be applied to watch Stan Sport, which means that the cheapest way to watch all Super Rugby games is $20/month. If you’re not sure whether or not you would like to commit to Stan Sport, you can try it all out, along with a standard Stan plan, with a free 30 Day Trial.
